COLUMBIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ANNUAL MEETING
Keith Lutz, President of the Columbia Economic Development Corporation announced that the organization’s Annual Meeting will be conducted on Thursday November 10, 2022, and will be held in the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors Museum, located at 514 Poplar Street, Columbia, PA.
Doors to the museum will open at 6:00PM at which time a social gathering of members will commence, with catered food and beverages being provided. The business meeting will start at 7:00PM.
During the meeting, Executive Director Bill Kloidt will provide the board and membership with a review of activity for the last year. The upcoming 3-year class of board members will be confirmed, and certificates of appreciation will be presented. This year’s business grant recipients will also be recognized. They are Tom Johnson-Medland and Glinda Johnson-Medland of Word-Hive who received a grant for outdoor advertising purposes and Marisol Wolf of Think Big, Think Small, We Have It All for website development.
The main speaker for the meeting will be Lori K. Yeich of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Ms. Yeich has a M. S. in Recreation & Parks from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. in Biology from Juniata College. She currently manages the Central Regional Offices of DCNR’s Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. She has over 25 years of professional experience working with governmental entities and non-profit organizations to preserve and enhance public recreation and conservation amenities in communities and regional landscape throughout central Pennsylvania. Her topic will be the positive economic impact that parks and recreation have on the communities that maintain and sponsor these programs.
