Turkey Hill Experience
Two hundred and fifty thousand people visit the Turkey Hill Experience in Columbia each year!
This hands-on interactive attraction showcases different exhibits allowing visitors the chance to learn how dairies work, how ice cream is made and the history of the company. With its location along Route 30 it is easily accessed by people from Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic area and it has enhanced the economic vitality of Columbia.
CEDC played a pivotal role in helping secure government funding and resources to ensure that this $14 million dollar project was a success. It was an achievement on the part of the developer, the Borough, CEDC and the funding sources to re-purpose a former silk mill which had last seen activity in the 1980’s.
